If you are like me, you crave to be above it all. I don’t mean with your head in the clouds or better than those around you. I mean literally up in the air looking down on the world. There is nothing quite like enjoying a snack or a drink on a rooftop terrace, especially on a warm day.
The Cuckoo’s Nest gives you just the soaring high experience you are looking for in a rooftop bar. Eleven floors up you can sit for hours watching the boats on the water or the hustle and bustle on the streets in the comfort of a plush garden chair.
Now, comfort and a great view is enough to convince me to visit a place, not to mention possibly the most extravagant sunsets in Göteborg, but alas some people need something more. Not a problem for the Cuckoo’s Nest.
The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night drinks and snacks. Being located in the elegant Radisson Blu Hotel, they open early for guests with coffee, tea, baked goods, and other morning treats.
On the weekends, they open to the public for brunch. This includes many lunch and breakfast dishes to choose from. Indulge in a mixture of pancakes with cheese and maybe even some pizza.
It doesn’t stop there either. Dinner is sophisticated and stylish. It is a mix of Swedish classics with influences from all over the world. All of this is paired with classic cocktails, beers, and luxurious wines.
