I don’t want to say that Korean food is underrated, because those that love it will talk about it all day, every day and to anyone. However, if more Korean restaurants were like Komex Market, I think everyone in the world would be a fan. We may even get tired of eating Korean food, probably not though.
So what’s the secret to their wonderful food? It is a fusion of authentic Latin American and Korean cuisine. The offer the best of both cultures from grilled meats, to exotic spices, and the blend of sweet and savory.
The avocado fries are great to start with. Maybe get the habanero lime oysters as well, because it is just too hard to choose one starter. Next, you can switch it up with some Korean treats. I suggest the tuna sakamoto. This is seared tuna steak with piri piri caramel. It is sweet and spicy at the same time and somehow perfectly balanced.
IT might be best to come with friends so you can order almost everything on the menu. It is important to keep an open mind also, especially when venturing into the street food section. These are amazing to share, but after one bite you might not want to. The kimbap tacos are super popular, for good reason. They come with tuna tartare, avocado, pickles, chilis, and a mango salsa.
If you are having a hard time choosing, ask the staff. They are friendly and quick with a great suggestion.
