Bagpiper’s Inn Pub in the Birkastan-Vasastan district of Stockholm is basically your typical neighborhood pub, an informal, comfortable place to go grab a pint or two, hang out with some friends, watch a football match, and maybe grab a bite to eat. Nothing pretentious about Bagpiper’s – the Scottish/Australian-inspired pub is what it is and it’s proud of it. Bagpiper’s bills itself as “The place you want to be with your friends,” and a lot of regular patrons would agree.
Obviously, most people go to the local pub to hang out, maybe have a beer, ale or other drink, watch a sporting match, argue politics – the pub is not typically a destination place for culinary delights. Bagpiper’s does have a full menu but basically what you’re going to get is pub food. Good pub food, but pub food none the less. They do have bar snacks and pub-style appetizers like potato wedges, nachos and chicken wings, most of which can be had for around 70-130, but they also offer more substantial food like fish & chips, chicken & gravy, and the pub’s famous BBQ ribs. Prices range from about 170-185. Also on the menu are Bagpiper’s own burgers, homemade and served on freshly baked buns with potato wedges, coleslaw and a choice of sauces. And now with a special burger on the menu each week. Prices all run around 170.
Bagpiper’s is known for their Quiz Night every other Sunday, but there are no reservations at the pub, so arrive early and enjoy yourself!
