The Barbeque Steakhouse & Bar in Stockholm’s Norrmalm borough is much more than the name might imply. Along with steaks and beer, the menu stretches from burgers and fries to pizza and salad with an impressive list of cocktails and other beverages.
The restaurant offers a combination of American and European cuisine in a open, contemporary space. There is a set menu each weekday for lunch, or choose from a rather sizeable list of dishes available all week. Each lunch plate includes salad, bread, a drink and coffee and selections range from pizza and burgers, to grilled beef, fish and chicken, vegetarian offerings to specialty dishes like beef stroganoff, custards and puddings. The dinner menu is, of course, even more extensive with a number of burgers available, including vegetarian, several selections from the grill, including beef, chicken and seafood dishes, salads, pasta, and a very long list of pizzas which should provide a selection of toppings to please just about anyone! There are a number of cocktails available for both before and after your meal, a nice list of wines and both bottled and draft beers, and an ample selection of specialty coffees. They even offer banana splits as one of their desserts.
Prices can be a bit on the high side but there are daily after work and weekend specials available. And while the ambience can be pleasant, when the space is filled, as it often is, it can get a bit noisy, so a meal at off hours may be advised.
