The next time you find yourself on a shopping trip, or other outing, in Stockholm’s busy Norrmalm district, take a few minutes and stop in to a charming, cozy little neighborhood eatery called Bistro NOC. Not fancy or upscale, themed or edgy, Bistro NOC simply offers a warm atmosphere, friendly service and well-cooked meals at a reasonable price for Norrmalm.
Bistro NOC, located at Drottninggatan 87, features French and Italian inspired dishes but still offers some traditional Swedish favorites as well. A set lunch menu is available weekdays from 11:00-14:00 that includes coffee and bread for 105 kr and features dishes such as steamed cod, beef rydberg, and the pasta of the week, along with favorites that are always available including potato pancakes, homemade meatballs, baked salmon and a variety of salads and omelets. The dinner menu is similar with the addition of items such as mussels, bruchetta, house steak and a line-up of tacos. Desserts, including gino, ice cream with strawberries and deep fried camembert, are also available as are a limited variety of beers, wines and cocktails. Dinners tend to run about 145-200 kr with lighter fare costing a bit less.
Bistro NOC invites you into its welcoming space to enjoy the delicious food, good music, and large, bright windows through which you can watch the bustling crowds outside, when you’re not taking advantage of the al fresco dining experience yourself. The venue is open Monday-Saturday from mid-day until “late” giving you plenty of time to enjoy. And you can even bring your dog.
