Boqueria actually consists of two separate areas, each with their own focus. The restaurant is more of a traditional eatery and tapas bar with lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch available. The second area, which they call the square, aims to be a miniature marketplace and take away meal service during the day while turning into an after-work bar and club after 17:00. Both have their own menus with the square featuring a set but limited weekday lunch menu with a few pintxos, and the restaurant offering its own set menu but with a number of tapas and raciones available as well. The restaurant’s dinner menu consists of a fairly wide selection of starters, tapas and raciones, while the weekend brunch menu features snacks, including charcuteries and cheese, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and a variety of egg, meat, fish and vegetable dishes, along with desserts. The venue also offers a fairly extensive list of wines, champagnes and cavas, and sherry, and specially made cocktails, gin and tonic drinks, and non-alcoholic lemonades are available at the bar.
Prices are what you might expect for this area of the city and can be a bit high, but the food and drink are good, the atmosphere open and friendly, and the location convenient . So stop by and see what everyone is talking about!
