The Boulebar at Liljeholmsvagan 14 in the Liljeholmen district south of Stockholm’s city center is just one of eight current Boulebar locations in and around Stockholm, Sweden, and even Denmark, all with one goal – to provide a fun gathering place for friends to congregate, learn about and play the game of boules, and enjoy some great French food along the way.
Boules is a French game similar to English lawn bowling or Italian bocce. The Boulebar locations are constructed around the rough outdoor gravel courts on which the game is played. Here, you can learn about the game, play the game, even buy your own equipment for the game…and then settle in for a glas of the traditional drink of boules, pastis, and some great food inspired by the southern French cuisine of Marseilles.
Boulebar offers several packages for you and your friends to come and play and enjoy, from a small, basic package for boules only for up to six people at 150 SEK per player, to a large summer party, including a delicious French meal, starting at 645 SEK per person. Individual dinners are available from an a la carte menu, as is a generous list of beers, wines, cocktails and other beverages. A special lunch is served every Friday from 11:00-15:00, and brunch is held Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30-15:00. All meals include the option to play a few rounds of boules, or you can simply come and play without enjoying the food and drink. Although why you would want to would be anyone’s guess!
