Brasserie Bobonne calls itself a French neighborhood restaurant – a genuine quarter of Paris – in Ostermalm. And the cozy little bistro at Storgatan 12, a little more than 100 meters from Ostermalmstorg, certainly delivers.
With little touches such as period floor tile and menus written on chalkboards, diners truly can feel as though they’ve been temporarily transported south to a bistro in France. And the classic French dishes, as well as those with a modern twist and others with Swedish-inspired elements, all prepared from the freshest, seasonal ingredients, simply add to the experience.
Open 11:30-14:00 for lunch Monday-Friday, and 17:00-23:00 for dinner Monday-Saturday, the venue changes up large portions of its menu every two weeks. You may find dishes as varied as perch with lard, rabbit, and rooster, while classics such as Boeuf Bourguignon, Moules a la Crème, and Chevre chaud are always available. There is a set lunch menu for 135 SEK each day, as well as a salad of the day, omelette, pasta dish and a couple of classics available all week, along with small desserts. The dinner menu includes several starters, a handful of main dishes, and several desserts, including French cheeses, chocolate truffle, baklava, and, of course, crème brulee. Prices are fairly reasonable, ranging from about 200-300 SEK for the mains, and the venue offers its own special for 550 SEK. An impressive list of French wines is also available by the bottle or glass.
Brasserie Bobonne can host or cater your private event as well, but the venue is rather small so if you want to have a meal in Ostermalm’s own version of Paris, a reservation is suggested!
