Those that think vegetarian and plant based foods are boring and tasteless obviously have not yet enjoyed the dishes at Hermans. The restaurant’s namesake and inspiration Herman Ottosson spent over ten years developing vegetarian recipes and restaurants in the Stockholm area before passing the torch onto the current owners here at Hermans.
They have taken his ideas, created some amazing things of their own, and added a dedication to sustainable living to make a gorgeous restaurant that you can feel good about visiting. Not only are you doing something beneficial for yourself, when you eat here you are helping the planet too. Or at least not doing the type of damage most restaurants do.
The philosophy here is simple; serve delicious plant based food with practices and policies that won’t harm the environment. They do this by partnering with trusted producers and working hard to buy their raw materials locally. With this in mind, you know you are getting the freshest flavors as well as supporting local businesses.
The menu changes regularly as they like to keep things fresh, both literally and figuratively. Some favorites that you will find in the lunch buffet are lasagna, spanakopita, and hummus. They also have a weekend buffet that lasts all day and includes a variety of salads and roasted vegetables.
Dinner is also delightful with curries, soups, salads, and homemade bread. Coffee and tea is always included with each of the buffet prices at any time of day. The food is top quality and a great value.
